Integrative reviews of nursing research. Integrative reviews of research are a valuable part of the process of creating and organizing a body of literature. It has been argued that integrative reviews should be held to the same standards of clarity, rigor, and replication as primary research. The integrative review method is the only approach that allows for the combination of diverse methodologies (for example, experimental and non‐experimental research), and has the potential to play a greater role in evidence‐based practice for nursing.
